| Calling all Friends of the Library! We need your help to mann our booth at various Primary Schools. The duties will be ranging from setting up the booth/programme, crowd control, registration, assisting in distributing flyers/token, registration, display of books, packing and unpacking of books etc. No experience needed. We needvolunteers who are friendly and able to interact with primary school children. Hurry sign-up now! |

| Storytelling Training Sessions

| If you have a passion for telling stories to children, then join us as a storyteller! From April to Dec 09, we have specially lined up storytelling training sessions, which is COMPULSORY for all FOLs interested in telling stories at the libraries. You will learn the techniques of good storytelling, the difference between storyreading and storytelling, the different books and ways to make your sessions livelier! This opportunity is opened to FOLs aged 17 years and above. Please note that you need only sign up for ONE session under the 'One Time' opportunities section of the Events Calendar. We also strongly encourage you to form your own group of 4 to 6 people to conduct your storytelling sessions. |

Jurong Regional Library needs volunteers to help in simple paperwork, such as Brochure amendment, arranging of Maps & attachment, cutting of recycle paper and stapling forms. Volunteers need to serve minimum of 2 hours. (Smart casual eg: T-shirt and Jeans. Covered shoes are compulsory No sleeveless, No Slippers or Sandals & No shorts).

Jurong Regional Library needs volunteers to assist in the redemption booth. You will need to render your assistance to the Library Officer in giving out our Promotions & Explain to reader about the Quest folder & Cards. Please be in appropriate attire (Smart casual eg: T-shirt and Jeans. Covered shoes are compulsory No sleeveless, No Slippers or Sandals & No shorts). You will be asked to go back home if your attire is inappropriate. For further queries, please contact Officer-in-charge.

Volunteers are required in performing duites like filing, searching books and other duties as assigned by the library staff. Dress code will be smart casual but strictly no slippers, shorts, mini skirts or skimpy clothings. Pls bring along a jacket in case due to low temperature in the library. Thanks.
